Sweetpotato Awesome was born from a profound moment of prayer. While attending a Catholic seminary in Boston, MA, I experienced a deep spiritual revelation—God revealed that my calling was not the priesthood, but instead to move to Las Vegas and start a business. With a strong awareness of the connection between food, mental health, and spirituality, I set out to create a brand dedicated to producing snacks that are both incredibly nutritious and delicious. Sweetpotatoes, renowned for their high beta carotene content and naturally sweet flavor, became the foundation of this vision. At the same time, advancements in freeze-drying technology made it possible to preserve food in a way that retained maximum nutrients. With these elements aligned, Sweetpotato Awesome was founded.
Our brand stands apart by utilizing the freeze-dry process, which removes moisture while preserving 20-30% more nutrients than traditional preservation methods like dehydration or sun drying. From the beginning, we've been committed to using only the highest quality ingredients, including organic sweetpotatoes, organic virgin coconut oil, and organic seasonings, paired with either sea salt or spring salt. You won’t find any seed oils or added sugars in our products—just pure, wholesome goodness. Every batch of Sweetpotato Awesome is handcrafted at our dedicated production facility in Las Vegas, NV, using organic sweetpotatoes sourced from Merced County, CA.
